There were 309 confirmed coronavirus cases in Tokyo on Tuesday, exceeding Monday's single-day total of 258. It is the first time in three days that the daily total has been more than 300 and the eighth consecutive day that the number has exceeded 200. There are now a total of 14,022 people who have tested positive for the coronavirus in the capital.
