306 new Covid cases in Ahmedabad

AHMEDABAD: The city on Tuesday recorded 306 new Covid positive cases, crossing 300 daily cases after two days. Gujarat registered 787 cases against 596 on Monday. The active cases also rose to 4,896. Five of the active patients were on ventilators.

Other cases included 57 in Surat city, 55 in Mehsana, 44 in Vadodara city, and 39 in Rajkot city among others. Five of the 33 districts in Gujarat had zero active Covid cases. Hospitalization remained low even as the cases in non-urban areas increased in the past few days, said state health department officials.
