'300' producer gives up his high ground in Brentwood

May 19--Film producer and executive Gianni Nunnari has sold his gated home in Brentwood for $3.85 million.

Built in the 1950s and recently updated, the Mediterranean-style home has raised ceilings, dark hardwoods and an updated master suite with a sitting area and balcony.

Within the 3,414 square feet of space is a chef's kitchen with a long island, a breakfast room, a library/den, four bedrooms and four bathrooms. On the main floor, reclaimed barn doors divide the formal living and dining room areas.

Set beneath tall trees and privacy hedges, a large deck space and expanses of grass highlight the grounds. Elsewhere on the property is an attached two-car garage.

The home came on the market in February for $4.495 million and was more recently priced at $3.95 million, property records show. Nunnari, who bought a $7.84-million oceanfront home in Malibu last summer, paid $2.5 million for the property in 2007.

Nicole Contreras and Myra Nourmand of Nourmand Associates, Beverly Hills, were the listing agents, according to the Multiple Listing Service. Asli Merzeci Casalino of Keller Williams represented the buyer.

Nunnari, 55, is the founder and chief executive of Hollywood Gang Productions. Among his production credits is action film "300" (2006) and the subsequent sequel, "300: Rise of an Empire" (2014), as well as "Immortals" (2011).
