30-year-old moves out of parents' home after they obtained order to evict him

A 30-year-old man whose parents obtained a court order to evict him from their home has flown the coop.

The court order was filed last week after Mark and Christina Rotondo made repeated attempts at getting their son, Michael Rotondo, to move out of their house in Camillus, N.Y.

It stated that the grown man would be required to leave the premises on or before June 1.

Rotondo collected his belongings and drove away with a wave and a honk around 9:30 a.m. Friday. He backed out of his driveway 2{ hours before his deadline to leave.

He told CNY Central that he felt "great" and that he was headed off to an Airbnb.

When asked if his parents had said goodbye he answered "more or less."

Mark and Christina Rotondo had issued five written notices beginning on Feb. 2 to their freeloading son before they decided to seek a formal eviction.

"After a discussion with your Mother, we have decided you must leave this house immediately. You have 14 days to vacate. You will not be allowed to return. We will take whatever actions are necessary to enforce this decision," the first notice read.

A second note from Feb. 13 told Michael Rotondo he was evicted "effective immediately." It gave him until March 15 to move out.

Michael Rotondo received three more notices before going to court and finally getting booted from his parents' home.
