30 Rock's Tracy Morgan divorcing wife Megan Wollover after almost five years

30 Rock star Tracy Morgan is splitting from his wife Megan Wollover after almost five years of marriage.

The actor, 51, and 35-year-old actress tied the knot in 2015.

They have announced they are filing for divorce and that they are going through a "challenging time".

Tracy shared the news in a statement with People.

He said: "Sadly, after nearly five years of marriage, Megan and I are filing for divorce. This is a challenging time for all involved, so I ask that you please respect our privacy."

Tracy also has three adult children, Gitrid, 34, Malcolm, 32, and Tracy Jr, 28, who he shares with ex-wife Sabina Morgan.

The star announced his engagement to Megan on the Emmys red carpet back in September 2012.

They enjoyed a long engagement before tying the knot in an intimate ceremony in August 2015.

Their wedding took place 14 months after Tracy was left fighting for his life following a horrific highway crash.

It was in June 2014 that a Walmart truck slammed into Tracy's limousine in New Jersey.

The crash tragically killed his friend and collaborator, comedian James McNair, 62.

It left Tracy in a wheelchair for five months.

At the time of their wedding, Megan said: "After almost losing Tracy last year, I am so grateful to finally be married to the love of my life.

"We have been through so much and our love is stronger for it."

Last June, Tracy reflected on the crash five years on.

He said at the time: "There isn't a day that goes by that I don't miss my friend Jimmy Mac, who sadly lost his life that night. I love you Jimmy. I thank GOD for my family.

"I am eternally grateful for the love and support they give me. My wife, daughter, sons, and friends are what got me back on my feet. I live every day trying to do right by them and the most of this second chance."
