30 pubs in Nottingham that have closed since the 1980s

If you remember drinking in pubs like The Flying Horse, The Globe, The Queen Elizabeth, The Old General and The Fountain, then - that was one hell of a night you had.

The list of famous pubs that Nottingham has lost over the past three decades or so is considerable.

So we've had a look back at 30 of the pubs which have closed in the city and its suburbs since 1987.

To be fair, we've looked back with varying degrees of fondness.

For every welcoming Vernon Arms or trendy Monkey Tree, there's a Dog and Bear which was probably best avoided at closing time.

Have a look at the pubs, either in the video above or the gallery of photos below, and see how many you remember.

We've included the date the pub closed in our gallery according to our records, although in a few cases there's some variation concerning the date it actually stopped operating, depending on which source you use.
