MYSURU: Thirty inmates of Mysuru Central Prison, among them three women, facing life terms were granted remission of sentence and released from prison on Friday.
They have been serving their sentences in Mysuru Central Prison for over a decade now.
According to jail authorities, three had completed 14 years in jail, 22 men, including remission, had finished 14 years, the three women had done 10 years and two men had completed 12 years in jail.
Chief superintendent of prisons KC Divyashree said they were released for good conduct. Their release has brought down the number of inmates to 848.
