€30,000 worth of cannabis found in crisp packets after intelligence-led raid in North Dublin

€30,000 worth of cannabis was found inside crisp packets and seized as part of an intelligence-led Garda raid in North Dublin.

A woman was also arrested after the clever hiding spot was not enough to prevent the seizure.

Gardai and Revenue officials raided a house in Artane on Wednesday where the unique discovery was made.

The woman in her 30s was arrested at the home and detained at Raheny Garda Station.

Gardai told Dublin Live: "On the 4th November 2020, GNDOCB, DMR North Divisional Drugs Unit and Revenue Customs Services carried out a search at a house as part of a joint operation in the Artane area, Co Dublin.

"Suspected cannabis worth approximately €30,000 was seized during the course of the search.

"A female (aged in her 30s) was arrested at the scene and detained at Raheny Garda Station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act, 1996."
