At least three people were shot Thursday across Chicago.
The latest shooting happened in Fernwood on the South Side.
About 10 p.m., a woman, 42, and a 43-year-old man were on the sidewalk in the 10100 block of South LaSalle Street when they heard gunfire and realized they were hit, Chicago police said.
The woman was struck in the arm and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said. A bullet hit the man in the thigh, and he was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center. Both of their conditions were stabilized.
Thursday’s earliest incident of gun violence was reported in Garfield Park on the West Side.
A 46-year-old man was in the park around 5:30 p.m. in the 3600 block of West Madison Street when someone approached him on foot and opened fire, police said. He was hit in the hand and taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition.
On Wednesday, four people were wounded in citywide gun violence.
