March 07--Three people were wounded Sunday night in shootings across Chicago, police said.
--At 11:30 p.m., a 23-year-old man was shot in the Norwood Park East neighborhood on the Northwest Side, police said.
He was shot in the leg outside a one-story brick house in the 6000 block of North Elston Avenue. His girlfriend put him in a white Jeep and drove up the street to a McDonald's, where an ambulance picked him up and took him to a hospital, authorities said.
The Jeep stayed outside the restaurant with its lights on and its trunk open, surrounded by police vehicles and officers searching nearby bushes with flashlights.
The man told police he was standing outside when someone walked up and shot him. He was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in good condition.
--At about 9 p.m., a 31-year-old man was shot in the West Garfield Park neighborhood, police said.
He was in a business in the 700 block of North Cicero Avenue when he began arguing with another customer. The altercation continued outside, where shots were fired and he was hit in the leg. He went to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.
--At about 6:30 p.m., an 18-year-old man was shot in the leg in the 200 block of West 110th Place in the Roseland neighborhood.
He was walking down the sidewalk when he heard shots and felt pain, said Officer Michelle Tannehill, a police spokeswoman. He was shot in the left thigh half a block from Roseland Community Hospital, so he walked to the hospital, where his condition was stabilized.
