
Three women were shot and wounded while passing through Fernwood on the Far South Side Saturday.
The three victims, 21, 23 and 24, were traveling westbound around 12:50 a.m. in the 200 block of West 105th Street when someone started shooting at their vehicle, police said.
The 21-year-old woman was shot once in her buttocks, the 23-year-old in her ankles and the 24-year-old in her leg, police said.
One of the women drove the three to Roseland Hospital where their conditions were stabilized, police said.
The shooting was the fourth attack involving a moving vehicle in about four hours, according to Chicago Sun-Times data.
Around 9:10 p.m., a man, 38, was a passenger in a vehicle traveling westbound in the 3400 block of West Division Street in Humboldt Park on the West Side when someone opened fire from another vehicle, police said.
The man was struck once in the face, police said. He was taken to Humboldt Park Health Hospital by the driver of the vehicle where he was pronounced dead, police said. He has not been identified.
Around 11:30 p.m., another man was wounded while passing through Lawndale on the West Side. The victim, 20, was a passenger in a vehicle traveling in the 3800 block of West Harrison Street when he heard gunfire, police said.
He was shot once in the jaw and mouth and was driven to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
About 10 minutes later, two minors were shot and wounded while passing through Albany Park on the Northwest Side.
The two boys, 12 and 14, were in the rear seat of a vehicle traveling northbound in the 3000 block of West Lawrence Avenue when someone in an SUV shot at the vehicle, Chicago Police said.
The 12-year-old was shot in his leg, and the 14-year-old in the back of the neck, police said.
Both were taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center where the 14-year-old is listed in critical condition and the 12-year-old’s condition was stabilized, police said.
No one from any of the four attacks was in custody.
