The pilot and two of the passengers discovered dead in the wreckage of a helicopter crash in Hawaii have been identified, authorities said Saturday.
Jocelyn Gannon, 13, and Amy Gannon, 47, of Madison, Wis., were believed to be aboard the doomed chopper when it went down with seven on board during a tour of the Na Pali Coast on Thursday, according to Kauai cops.
The police said they believe island local Paul Matero, 69, piloted the aircraft and four other passengers were believed to be in a family from Switzerland. While the remains of six aboard had been found, the search for a seventh passenger was ongoing Saturday afternoon, according to officials.
An autopsy to confirm the identities was pending, authorities said. But the Madison Metropolitan School District alerted families Saturday that Jocelyn had died along with her mother, according to ABC affiliate WKOW.
