3 Titans rookies who have shined through first four games of 2019

The Tennessee Titans had a solid 2019 NFL Draft, giving quarterback Marcus Mariota some extra help on the offensive line and added weapons – all while bolstering an already solid defense.

They also signed some undrafted rookie free agents who have panned out and emerged as impactful players.

The team is only four games into the season, but already, some rookies have stood out among the others and made a name for themselves early on.

Here’s a look at three of Tennessee’s most impressive rookies so far this season.

1. WR A.J. Brown

We knew Brown was going to be major asset to this receiving corps, but he showed just how much potential he had in Sunday’s 24-10 win over the Atlanta Falcons when the Titans really got him involved.

Brown recorded not just his first NFL touchdown, but reeled in three receptions for 94 yards and two total touchdowns to finish the day as the team’s leading receiver.

Expect Brown to be one of Mariota’s favorite targets as the season progresses.

2. RG Nate Davis

Davis was inactive for the first three games of the season, but he made a noticeable impact against the Falcons. The Tennessee offensive line practically looked like a totally new group with the addition of the rookie, who played 40 snaps.

Mariota had been sacked for an NFL-high of 17 times heading into the game – four times against the Cleveland Browns, four times against the Indianapolis Colts and nine times against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Davis and the rest of the unit didn’t allow him to be brought down once in Week 4. It will be interesting to see how Davis continues to grow moving forward.

3. DT Isaiah Mack

No, it’s not too early to draw comparisons between Mack and veteran defensive end Jurrell Casey.

The undrafted free agent turned some heads ahead of the season, and has been solid against the run game. Mack has been used in rotation, and has 1.5 sacks to his name.

Mack is a very promising player to keep an eye on as he gains more NFL experience in 2019.
