We all understand the final score of an NFL preseason game is the least important part, so beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week was less important than how the team played.
This week the Steelers take on the Kansas City Chiefs, one of the premier rosters in the league. In Week One, the Steelers took a very conservative approach to the roster and gameplan. Will any of that change in Week Two?
Here are three things we’d love to see.
Ben Roethlisberger in the lineup
This doesn’t just apply to Roethlisberger but all the starters. Get them in for a series or two. The regular season starts with a brutal matchup against the New England Patriots. There’s no time in the regular season to knock the rust off.
Take some shots downfield

This will mean more if the Steelers can get Diontae Johnson and Donte Moncrief in the lineup. But after seeing Roethlisberger air it out last season with Antonio Brown in the lineup, we want to see if this is doable minus No. 84 out there. The one really good deep play to James Washington was promising last week.
The focus of a team in mourning

The franchise was hit hard this week with the loss of assistant coach Darryl Drake. He was a mentor and friend to so many on the team. The Steelers have dedicated this season to being all about football and with all the losses to help achieve that, this was not what the team needed. We want to see how this team pulls together this week.
