Despite being listed as questionable for Monday’s contest after rolling his ankle against the Boston Celtics on Saturday, Steph Curry suited up against the Eastern Conference-leading Philadelphia 76ers on Monday evening.
Coming off 10 consecutive performances with 30 or more points, no injury was slowing down Golden State’s seven-time All-Star point guard. Curry exploded for a game-high 49 points on 14-of-28 shooting from the floor with five assists and three rebounds in 37 minutes.
Curry sizzled from beyond the arc, hitting 10 triples on 17 attempts against the Sixers. His hot-shooting against Philadelphia was the sixth time this season Curry has registered double-figures in made 3-pointers.
Along with sealing a victory, 107-96, Curry’s performance pushed him past Kobe Bryant to become the only player to score 30 or more points in 11 consecutive contests at age 33 or older.

Curry will have the opportunity to extend his scoring streak on Wednesday in a duel with Bradley Beal and the Washington Wizards.
Kevon Looney on the glass
While Curry cooked from long distance, Kevon Looney controlled the glass. In a matchup with Most Valuable Player candidate Joel Embiid, Looney tallied a career-high 15 boards in 34 minutes.
Along with registering a new career-best effort on the glass, the veteran center tacked on five points on 2-of-4 shooting from the floor against Embiid and the Sixers.
Kelly Oubre Jr. returns
After missing five consecutive games with an injured wrist, Kelly Oubre Jr. made his return to the Warriors rotation on Monday night. Instead of joining Curry in the starting backcourt, Oubre Jr. came off the bench in his first game back.
The explosive wing recorded nine points on 2-of-6 shooting from the field with two rebounds in 22 off the bench against the Sixers. While he had a quiet appearance in the boxscore, Oubre Jr. returned to form with an emphatic highlight-reel dunk in the first quarter.

Damion Lee
With Curry leading Golden State’s charge, Damion Lee provided solid minutes off the bench in Philadelphia.
Behind Curry, Lee added 12 points on an efficient 5-of-6 shooting from the floor with six boards, an assist and a block in 32 minutes off the bench. Lee shot a perfect clip from beyond the arc, hitting a pair of triples on two attempts from outside.
