3 things to know: Warriors cruise past Spurs behind Steph Curry and James Wiseman tandem, 121-99

Following a 19 point comeback against the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday, the Golden State Warriors carried momentum heading into a matchup with the San Antonio Spurs at Chase Center on Wednesday night. Donning a new set of “We Believe” inspired uniforms, the Warriors jumped out to an early advantage over the Spurs.

After taking a 22 point early lead behind Steph Curry’s 20 first-half points, the Warriors cruised to a 121-99 victory against Gregg Popovich’s Spurs.

Curry finished the game leading the Warriors with a game-high 26 points on 10-of-17 shooting from the field with 11 rebounds, seven assists in 31 minutes. The two-time Most Valuable Player shot 4-of-8 from beyond the arc against the Spurs on Wednesday.

Behind Curry was James Wiseman. The rookie notched a career-high 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field with six boards and four assists in 25 minutes. Along with Wiseman and Curry, both Kelly Oubre Jr. and Andrew Wiggins surpassed double-figures in scoring against San Antonio.

While Golden State hit 15 triples and dropped 31 assists as a unit, the defense limited San Antonio to only 4-of-33 shooting from long distance and 17 team assists.

Riding a two-game winning streak, the Warriors will welcome the New York Knicks to Chase Center for the second game of a home back-to-back on Thursday. After registering a 22 point victory in their debut, the Warriors may have to wear the “Oakland Forever” uniforms more often.
