Last week, the Pittsburgh Steelers got past the Los Angeles Chargers on the strength of the defense. This group continues to play better and better with each passing week despite quickly mounting injuries. Unfortunately, the offense hasn’t done its part and continues to hold this team back. Here are three things the Steelers offense needs to figure out this week.
How to get the tight ends involved in the passing offense
Through six games, Steelers’ tight ends only have 18 receptions. For a struggling offense with a revolving door at quarterback, the tight end position can be the best security blanket of all. But offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner seems incapable of properly utilizing the tight end position.
What can make the offensive line block well every week

Last week the Steelers feasted on the Chargers defense and the offensive line controlled the game. While we were all excited to see it, it does make one wonder what made last week’s game different. The offensive line struggled mightily in the first five games, primarily in terms of run blocking. The whole team rallied around Devlin Hodges against the Chargers but they need to figure out a way to get the same effort once Mason Rudolph returns.
What’s wrong with JuJu Smith-Schuster?

Has there been a more disappointing player on the team this season? We get he’s dealing with multiple starting quarterbacks but if you want to be thought of as one of the truly elite receivers in the league this cannot be an excuse. I’m honestly more disappointed the Steelers didn’t make a more rigorous effort to replace Antonio Brown on the depth chart.
