3 things Cardinals fans have to be thankful for on this Thanksgiving

It is Thanksgiving, a time to ponder and reflect on the things we are glad to have. As Arizona Cardinals fans, there are some things to be thankful for with this team.

What do we have to be thankful for this year, in particular?

Larry Fitzgerald is still playing

It has been 15 years and it is still going. We get to see a true legend play. he is one of the best to ever suit up. He is probably the most-respected player in the NFL and he is still productive. This isn’t a case where we are watching him fade away quietly. He is still putting up numbers.

We don’t know how much longer we will have the privilege to watch him play, but we still can enjoy it now, which is something to be thankful for.

It hasn’t resulted in many wins, but Kingsbury looks like he has an idea what he is doing. He has fixed the offense. He does not call out his players in public. Everything is about team. He doesn’t single out one unit of the team. The players are buying in and playing hard. It looks like he can lead this team into playoff competition in the seasons to come.

This is something most would not have said a year ago.

Kyler Murray is a franchise quarterback

Murray is the real deal. Just as a rookie, he is going to have one of the best passing seasons for any Cardinals quarterback — ever. He is on pace to have the sixth-most passing yards. He might be only the second player in history to have at least 20 touchdown passes with fewer than 10 interceptions.

After decades of wanting a young quarterback to become the long-term solution, Murray is the guy.

The Cardinals might only be 3-7-1, but there is hope. With a bright future ahead, this season and this Thanksgiving feels good.
