THREE teenagers have been taken to hospital after a crash which closed a major road for nine hours.
The incident took place on the M77 at around 12.10am on Wednesday and involved a grey Volkswagen Polo.
Part of the M77 was closed for nearly nine hours, reopening at around 9.20am.
J5-6 were initially closed, however the closure then extended to J8.
Emergency services attended the scene where three teenagers, aged 19, 18 and 17, were taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
The casualties were the driver of the vehicle and two passengers.
Officers are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Sergeant Jim Dewar said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing for anyone with information that could assist to get in touch.
“If you were driving in the area at the time please check dash-cam footage to see if you have captured anything that may help with our investigation.”
