The Los Angeles Lakers tied the series against the Phoenix Suns, 1-1, as they won a Game 2 thriller, 109-102.
Four of Los Angeles’ starters scored in double-figures to lead the way, but Anthony Davis’ performance jumped out the most.
Davis had a rough outing in Game 1, scoring just 13 points on 5-of-16 shooting while Deandre Ayton had outplayed him.
This time around, Davis made sure to leave his imprint on the game, going for 34 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists, three blocks and a steal. He shot 18-21 from the free throw stripe, too.
The Lakers led by 15 during one point in the third quarter, but the Suns quickly responded thanks to clutch baskets from Cameron Payne, Devin Booker and Ayton.
But when it mattered most, LeBron James and Davis converted their looks to close out the Suns and now carry the momentum as they return to Staples Center for Game 3.
