Every season there is a player or two who take a miserable year before and turn it around into something special. Whether it is an injury or just struggles, making the big comeback is always the goal. Here are the three guys we are banking on making a big comeback in 2019.
K Chris Boswell
There’s no point in re-hashing the struggles of Boswell from last season. But we will anyway. Boswell went 13-for-20 on his field goals and indirectly cost the team more than one game. When he’s good, he’s as good as any kicker in the NFL. But when he was bad, he was awful. The team has given him one last shot to turn things around and we have confidence he will.
WR Eli Rogers

After tearing his ACL at the end of 2017, 2018 was supposed to be a comeback year for Rogers. But after serving a one-game suspension for violation of the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse, Pittsburgh tucked him away on the PUP list for most of the season. The Steelers could really use his elusiveness from the slot to help replace Antonio Brown.
DE Stephon Tuitt

It feels like we talk about Tuitt as on the verge of a comeback every season. Tuitt has been incapable of staying on the field for a full season since his rookie year in 2014 and the defense really needs him. When Tuitt is healthy he can be incredibly disruptive. He just needs to figure out a way to stay on the field and be more consistent.
