Everyone is anxiously awaiting the return of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger to the Pittsburgh Steelers. But if the Steelers are going to get back into the playoffs after a two-year absence, it’s going to take a full team effort. This also means some guys who aren’t getting as much talk need to have big seasons.
Here are the three guys we are counting on to break out in 2020.
RB | Benny Snell Jr.
Forgive us if we just aren’t sold on James Conner being able to carry the load all season. his injury concerns just mean Snell is going to have more opportunities. Snell isn’t the most dynamic running back on the roster but he has the potential to be a workhorse and keep the chains moving if he can get some momentum going.
WR | James Washington

All anyone wanted to talk about last season was the struggles of JuJu Smith-Schuster and the emergence of Diontae Johnson. Meanwhile, Washington quietly led the team in passing yards with 735 and yards per reception with 16.7. Pittsburgh drafted Chase Claypool in the second round but this should just motivate Washington even more.
LB | Devin Bush

Bush quietly led the Steelers in tackles in 2019 but we saw fewer and fewer splash plays from him as his rookie season went on. The Steelers released Mark Barron leaving Bush as the key inside linebacker on the roster. This will mean Bush should have far more opportunities to make big plays and create turnovers.
