3-star linebacker Devin Hightower places Michigan State in top-5

The 2020 football recruiting class has already been off to a good start for Michigan State and Mark Dantonio with the commitment of Darius Snow back in April. Well, things are really starting to pick up for 2020 recruiting and 3-star Devin Hightower recently revealed that the Spartans were in his top-5 potential schools.

Hightower is currently attending Archbishop Hoban High School in Akron, Ohio.

According to 247sports, Hightower is 6’1″, 218 pounds and would primarily be an outside linebacker for the Spartans, although he is fast enough to play some slot corner.

Hightower is currently ranked as the No. 18 player in Ohio, No. 47 at the linebacker position, and the 633rd best player in his class.

He listed Michigan, Michigan State, Iowa, Pitt, and Cincinnati as his top-5 options, and 247sports currently predicts he will end up at Pitt or Michigan.

Michigan State’s other commits outside of Snow are all offensive players: Dallas Fincher (OG), Ian Stewart (WR), and Tommy Guajardo (TE).
