Three people were wounded in a shooting Sunday in West Woodlawn on the South Side.
Just before 10 p.m., a 21-year-old woman was walking into a building in the 6000 block of South Champlain Avenue with a 25-year-old man when someone walked up and fired shots, Chicago police said.
The woman was struck in the pelvic area and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in serious condition, police said. The man was struck in the abdomen but declined medical treatment.
A 36-year-old man was also shot in the torso and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition.
Police sources said the 25-year-old man may have been the intended target.
No one is in custody as Area One detectives investigate.
