The Phoenix Suns were among the most fun, intriguing stories of the NBA bubble this year.
They came to Disney World in the hunt for the Western Conference play-in game, in a crowded field of talented teams and went 8-0, and fell just short of the postseason. But the franchise that’s been a laughingstock for a while took a HUGE step forward, with a young roster starting to figure everything out together.
But now there’s the report from ESPN that the Suns “have had discussions” with the Oklahoma City Thunder about trading for future Hall of Famer Chris Paul. And while, on paper, that would be a big upgrade for a young team, I’m not sold. Here’s why:
