3 Rangers stars put on alert for Motherwell clash as changes considered in hunt for Ibrox spark

Steven Gerrard confessed his Rangers subs in the draw with Aberdeen have given him a decision to make with a trip to Motherwell looming.

The Ibrox side rescued a point from 2-0 against the Dons on Wednesday and their manager has conceded they're lacking the spark of last season.

Alfredo Morelos and James Tavernier got the goals needed to avoid a first home league defeat since March 2020 - but it was Scott Wright, Scott Arfield and Fashion Sakala who impressed Gerrard off the bench.

He now has a decision to make ahead of Sunday's Premiership visit to Fir Park.

"I don't think any draw is an acceptable result at Rangers," Gerrard said.

"The expectations and demands of this football club is to win every match and we accept that.

"From an attacking point of view we need to have more variety and give opposition teams more to think about. I believe we have the quality to cause problems to teams. We see an opportunity to get better and improve.

"I think the three subs against Aberdeen had an impact and have given me something to think about ahead of Motherwell. Scott Arfield has been training very well this week."
