The NFL released the 2019 regular-season schedule this week and we have had some time to digest the whole thing for the Pittsburgh Steelers. After going over each matchup here are our three big takeaways from the schedule.
The Steelers brand is safe
There was a thought all the drama of the offseason and changes might turn the league away from highlighting the Steelers. But the opposite has turned out to be the case. Pittsburgh gets five prime-time games, which shows the NFL still understands what a draw this franchise is.
Additionally, if you look at the early kickoffs on the schedule, the NFL you can tell the league wants eyes on Pittsburgh. The New York Jets, Seattle Seahawks, Indianapolis Colts and Baltimore Ravens twice are all early games on the schedule.
Home for the holidays

At last, the NFL has decided not to run the Steelers through a series of holiday games this season. The Steelers are free on all the major holidays this season rather than forcing them to spend time away from their families and create serious disruptions to the team’s continuity and routine.
No breaks

Remember the days when you could look at the Steelers’ schedule and circle a few wins just because the opponent is traditionally bad? This isn’t the case this season. Yes, we are talking about the Cleveland Browns. With their improvement, there’s almost no letdown on this schedule.
