3 QBs among the Lions free agent workouts on Tuesday

The Detroit Lions worked out 11 NFL free agents on Tuesday, including three QBs and several wide receivers.

According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, who nicely aggregates the weekly tryouts, the Lions worked out the following players on Tuesday in Allen Park:

WR Victor Bolden

RB Nick Brossette

WR Terry Godwin

LB Geneo Grissom

WR Marvin Hall

QB Taylor Heinicke

RB Darius Jackson

QB Tyree Jackson

WR Anthony Johnson

QB Chad Kanoff

RB David Williams

Three quarterbacks working out is an unusual volume, especially for Detroit. Tyree Jackson is probably the most intriguing with his huge arm and Michigan roots, though his preseason trial with the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent was not pretty. Heinicke has NFL starting experience and played briefly under Lions QB coach Sean Ryan in Houston.

None of the tryout players were immediately signed by Detroit.
