The robberies happened June 10-13, 2019, in Englewood.

Police are warning Englewood residents to be aware of their surroundings after three armed robberies were reported this month on the South Side.

In each case, two males robbed someone at gunpoint, taking their belongings and sometimes their car, Chicago police said in a community alert.

In two incidents, the weapon was described as a black semi-automatic handgun with an extended magazine, police said.

One robbery took place about 11:10 p.m. June 10 in the 7300 Block of South Yale Avenue, police said. Another happened less than a mile away about 12:15 a.m. June 12 in the 7300 block of South Vincennes Avenue.

A third robbery occurred at 1:55 a.m. June 13 in the 6700 block of South Halsted Street, police said.

The males are described as 5-foot-10 to 6 feet and weighing about 175 pounds.
