3 Patriots players to watch vs. Titans

After a 27-10 preseason victory against the Philadelphia Eagles last week, the Tennessee Titans head into the second week of the preseason with their heads held high.

Week 2’s contest will be against the New England Patriots, who the team shocked in Nashville last year with a 34-10 win. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. CT in Nissan.

Here are three Patriots players to watch on Saturday.

DE Chase Winovich

Greg M. Cooper-USA TODAY Sports

Winovich was pinned to the Titans by some analysts before the 2019 NFL Draft, and now the team will get a chance to see him in NFL action. He’s shown potential to enter New England’s starting lineup, and is expected to only continue to build momentum.

The defensive end recorded two tackles, one assist and 1.5 sacks in his preseason debut.

Williams has a lot of raw potential, and tremendous overall athletic ability. As the Titans all too familiar with, though, he is struggling to maintain consistency in his performance. Whether or not he becomes an impact player for the Patriots or is trimmed from the roster will likely come down to that.

He recorded four tackles and one assist against the Lions last week.

RB Damien Harris

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Harris has yet to play in the preseason, but he’s expected to make an appearance this week.

It will be interesting to see the third-round pick break his way into the mix against what looks to be a stout Titans defense.
