3 more patients die at Nottingham hospitals after testing positive for Covid-19

Three more patients have died in Nottingham's hospitals having testing positive for Covid-19.

Nottingham University Hospitals announced the deaths today (Saturday, May 2), taking the trust's coronavirus death toll to 211.

The patients, aged 82, 91 and 96 years old, died on April 30.

Dr Keith Girling, Medical Director at Nottingham University Hospitals, said: “Sadly we can confirm that a further three patients have died having tested positive for Covid-19.

"Regrettably that means that 211 Covid-19 positive patients we were caring for have sadly died since the beginning of March.

“The families have been informed and our thoughts and condolences are with them at this difficult and distressing time.”

As of today there have been 518 confirmed coronavirus cases in Nottingham. There have been 177, 454 cases across the UK and a total of 27,510 deaths.
