Dec. 12--Three men were injured during separate shootings on the city's South Side since Thursday evening, police said.
In the latest incident, a 23-year-old man was shot in the arm in the Englewood neighborhood at 12:04 a.m., said Officer Ron Gaines, a Chicago police spokesman.
The man was in the 6600 block of South Halsted Street when he heard gunshots and realized he was struck, Gaines said.
He was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, he said.
No one was in custody Friday morning.
Minutes earlier, a 22-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in the Gresham neighborhood, Gaines said.
The man told the police he was in the 500 block of West 87th Street around 11:50 p.m. when he was shot in the chest, Gaines said.
He was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition stabilized.
Police said the man was giving inconsistent information about the location of the incident. No additional details were available.
Around 10:50 p.m., a 20-year-old man was shot as he was walking home in the Jeffery Manor neighborhood on the Far South Side, Gaines said.
The man was in the 9600 block of South Merrion Avenue when an unknown vehicle pulled up and someone came out and fired shots, striking him twice, Gaines said.
The man hit in the arm and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was listed in good condition, Gaines said.
Nobody one was in custody in the shooting, Gaines said.
