Three people died in a rollover crash Sunday morning in suburban Mount Prospect.

They were identified as Francisco Javier Flores Perez, 31, Georgina Perez Gomez, 59, and Francisco Flores Rodriguez, 58, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

They lived together in Des Plaines.

Officers responded at 7:45 a.m. to a crash with passengers trapped at Rand and Mount Prospect roads, Mount Prospect police said in a statement.

An investigation found that a southbound Honda at the exit of Mt. Prospect Plaza was struck by a Ford that entered the intersection, police said. The impact caused the Honda to roll over and come to rest on its roof.

Three occupants of the Honda were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Firefighters removed the driver of the Ford from the vehicle and rushed them to a hospital, police said.

Rand Road was closed until 5 p.m. for an investigation by the Mount Prospect Police Department Major Crash Investigation Team.
