Elliott Harrison over at NFL.com put together his list of the top-25 quarterbacks of all time, probably because it’s July and this is the only NFL content we can get.
On the list, there are three former Vikings, although only one spent the majority of his career with the Vikings.
At No. 23 is Fran Tarkenton at No. 22 is Warren Moon and at No. 12 is Brett Favre.
Tarkenton played for the Vikings from 1961-1966 and again from 1972-1978. With Minnesota, he threw for 33,098 yards and 239 touchdowns while running for another 2,548 yards and 22 touchdowns.
Moon played for the Vikings from 1994-96, making the Pro Bowl in two of three seasons. He threw for 10,102 yards, 58 touchdowns and 42 interceptions. He led the Vikings to a 21-18 overall record.
And finally, Favre. Favre led the Vikings to the 2009 NFC Championship game and had one of the best seasons of his career, throwing for 4,202 yards and 33 touchdowns.
The Vikings have had good quarterback throughout the years, but only two really in their prime who were really solid – Tarkenton and Daunte Culpepper.
