Three people are without a home after a fire Wednesday in Avalon Park on the South Side.
The fire started just before midnight at a 2.5-story home in the 7900 block of South Woodlawn Avenue, Chicago fire officials said. It was struck out about half an hour later.
One person was taken to Jackson Park Hospital in good condition, officials said. Three adults in total were displaced.
The Red Cross has been requested to assist with the displacements, officials said.
