The Arizona Cardinals released their final preseason depth chart this week and there are a few changes, mostly because of changes on the roster due to signings and releases.
What changes are there for the preseason finale?
Trent Sherfield listed as starter ahead of Michael Crabtree
With the release of Kevin White, Sherfield now moves into the starting lineup and sits ahead of Crabtree, who just signed. Crabtree will be allowed to work into shape and into the offense.
Rookie safeties are backups
With Josh Shaw on injured reserve, Deionte Thompson and Jalen Thompson are both the backup safeties. Jalen was previously listed behind Deionte but now is No. 2 behind D.J. Swearinger.
Clinton McDonald behind Michael Dogbe
The Cardinals announced the signing of McDonald on Monday. He starts behind both Rodney Gunter and Dogbe, a seventh-round pick this year. With the release of Terrell McClain, he might slide into the second-team slot behind Corey Peters.
