3 bold predictions for Rams vs. Raiders in preseason Week 1

The Los Angeles Rams are paying the Oakland Raiders a visit tonight for their preseason opener, which won’t feature many of the top players, if any, on either side. There will still be a ton of excitement and buzz surrounding this game as the Rams begin their march back to the Super Bowl.

Here are three bold predictions for Saturday night’s game.

Darrell Henderson scores a touchdown of 30-plus yards

Whether it’s as a runner or receiver, Henderson is going to score a long touchdown. He’s going to emerge as one of the best players on the field tonight, breaking at least one big play. His combination of breakaway speed and power as a ball carrier makes him dangerous every time he touches the ball and that’ll be on full display against Oakland.

The Rams are understandably excited about the potential he has on offense and McVay will finally get to show his rookie running back off in a game this evening.

JoJo Natson has a long kickoff or punt return

Natson has really played well this summer, earning compliments from those in attendance at practice. He has excellent speed and his quickness with the ball in his hands is reminiscent of Tavon Austin, which many people will realize on Saturday night. Hopefully his fumbling issues don’t show up and mar what could be a great game for him.

Natson is going to rip off a long return, even if he doesn’t take it to the house. A strong performance could make him a lock for the final roster.

John Wolford stands out as the best QB

Blake Bortles has a lot riding on this game, but it’ll be Wolford who shows off against the Raiders’ backups. He shined in the AAF, ranking first in touchdown passes and second in passing yards. The level of competition will obviously be much higher tonight, but he has the game to stick around in the NFL.

While he’s not the fastest quarterback in the league, he’s shifty in the pocket and the open field. That makes him a threat to pull it down and run when throws aren’t there.
