Another weekend is upon us, which finally means some free time for a good old TV binging session. Helpfully, Prime Video, one of the best streaming services around, regularly updates its already expansive library and filters in new TV series and movie releases every month, so there’s always something fresh to watch.
But if you’re feeling overwhelmed by choice and don't want to get bogged down by endless scrolling, Tom's Guide is here to help with some straight-to-the-point streaming suggestions. Each week, we curate a quick list of three recent additions to Prime Video's streaming library that we think deserve a spot on your watchlist.
Among this week's recommendations are the fifth and final season of “The Boys,” a “Fist of the North Star” reboot and the Argentinian drama series “Amor Animal.” Find out more about all three new to Prime Video TV shows below.
'The Boys'
Back for its fifth and final season, Prime Video’s beloved superhero satire “The Boys” finds the world dominated by Homelander (Antony Starr), a fascist takeover that sees dissenters imprisoned in Freedom Camps. Enter Bully Butcher (Karl Urban), who returns to gather Hughie (Jack Quaid), Annie (Erin Moriarty) and The Boys to mount a desperate resistance against insurmountable odds to stop his tyrannical rule.
Along with Butcher setting in motion "a chain of events that will forever change the world and everyone in it," per the season's official logline, the last installment of the dark comedy will feature a fun "Supernatural" reunion with guest appearances from Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins as well as their old cohort Jensen Ackles returning as a series regular. 'Fist of the North Star'
The classic Japanese manga series "Fist of the North Star" has been on the receiving end of many anime adaptations, films and spin-offs since debuting back in the mid-1980s, and we can officially add yet another one to the list.
To celebrate the series' 40th anniversary, Prime Video is rebooting the post-apocalyptic martial arts franchise as a new animated series, available to stream worldwide staring Friday, April 10. With a mix of cutting-edge CGI and old-school hand-drawn animation, the series takes viewers to the year "199x," where the seas are dried up, the earth is split open and the world engulfed in nuclear fire. Despite it all, humanity has survived, including Kenshiro (Shunsuke Takeuchi), who roams the wasteland in pursuit of his sworn enemy Shin (Kōji Yusa).

'Amor Animal'
In case you missed this Prime Video newcomer when it premiered at the end of March, the Argentine romantic drama "Amor Animal" follows the passionate but toxic relationship between waiting-to-break-out trap artist Kaia (Tatu Glikman) and her upper-class but emotionally struggling boyfriend Nico (Franco Masini), who was recently discharged from a mental-health clinic.
"Despite their different realities and the outside forces pushing them apart, they try to make space for their love to grow, and in doing so, unleash a gang war," reads the series' official logline.
Created by Sebastián Ortega and written by Silvina Frejdkes and Alejandro Quesada, the eight-episode series also features Santiago Achaga, Valentina Zenere, Olivia Nuss, Toto Rovito, Ines Estevez, Antonio Birabent and Juan Sorini.
