With the offseason continuing, it is time to check in with what is happening with the rest of the teams in the NFC West. What is going on with the San Francisco 49ers? Here are some stories from the last week to know.
49ers decline option on OL Joshua Garnett

The first round of the 2016 draft is not going well for the division. The Cardinals declined their fifth-year contract option on defensive lineman Robert Nkemdiche, their first-round pick from that year. Seattle did the same with offensive lineman Germain Ifedi. The 49ers also did not exercise their option on the contract of offensive lineman Joshua Garnett.
OL Anthony Davis applies to come out of retirement

Davis, a former first-round pick for the 49ers, retired abruptly from the NFL because of concerns with concussions. He apparently wants back in the league after seeing a league-wide decrease in head injuries.
49ers draft picks signing contracts

The Cardinals have not yet signed any of their 11 draft picks. However, they could have QB Kyler Murray signed soon. The 49ers, on the other hand, were the very first in the league to sign a pick, and have signed several of them.
