LIMF kicked off with a bang today and the people of Liverpool were out in force to join in the fun.
Despite the worry, the weather brightened up as the day went on and festival goers made the most of it, laying down picnic blankets and making themselves at home.
Throughout the day artists such as Liverpool's own Mic Lowry, SFVEN and Kara Marni took to the main stage, keeping the crowd entertained ahead of huge headliners' CHIC & Nile Rodgers tonight.
As usual, the people of Liverpool were dressed to the nines for the big event - and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Outfits ranged from jeans and trainers and shorts and wellies to sheer dresses and neon boiler suits.
