284 Covid cases reported across Nottinghamshire this week

A total of 284 new case of coronavirus have been recorded across Nottinghamshire during the last week

Data published by the Government at 4pm on Sunday, April 25, shows the largest number of new cases was recorded in the city of Nottingham.

Outside of the city, Bassetlaw and Mansfield recorded the largest numbers of new cases.

It comes after a Government adviser has said calls from scientists and academics to end coronavirus restrictions are “wrong” and “remarkably insular”.

In an open letter, the scientists said “a good society cannot be created by obsessive focus on a single cause of ill-health” and that Covid-19 “no longer requires exceptional measures of control in everyday life”.
