JAIPUR: A 26-year-old woman was found murdered at her residence situated at Sector 35 of Pratap Nagar area in Jaipur on Monday. Though the husband has implicated his sister-in-law and father-in-law for the murder, police have detained the husband as a prime suspect in this murder case.
According to police, the man identified as Salman approached Sanganer police station on Monday afternoon stating that his wife has been murdered allegedly by his sister-in-law and father-in-law.
“Our team reached the spot and identified the deceased woman as Ravina Bano. Her body was lying in the bedroom and no visible injury marks were found on the body. It appeared that she was strangled to death," Ajay Pal Lamba, additional commissioner of police (Crime) told TOI.
As the team of police and officers of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) reached the spot, commotion was witnessed as a large number of people in the locality had gathered at the spot. Police sealed the crime scene and initiated investigations.
As per the allegations, the police got the phone location of the sister-in-law of Salman which was found in Sikar. Likewise, his father-in-law was found sleeping at his home.
“We got some clues that the accused Salman, the husband of the deceased woman, was misleading us. He was detained for interrogation as the prime suspect of the murder case. It was found that he was married to another woman and was keeping her elsewhere and the deceased woman was his second wife. He had not informed her about his first marriage.
This could be the prime reason behind the dispute between the husband and wife. He is under interrogation and we will solve the mystery soon,” said a senior Sanganer police officer.
