Nearly €250,000 euro frozen in various bank accounts, c€12,000 in cash, and several Rolex watches have been seized by the Criminal Assets Bureau following intelligence-led searches in Dublin and Wicklow.
Officers also managed to nab a 201 Reg BMW and a selection of designer clothes linked to an organised crime group.
The search operation was focused on two residential properties along with three professional premises in Dublin and Wicklow.
A spokesman said: "The Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) conducted a search operation in Co. Dublin and Co. Wicklow [on Thursday] targeting the assets of members of a suspected organised criminal group based in Dublin and Wicklow."
The items seized included €248,149 frozen in various bank accounts, €11,800 cash and AU$4,000 Australian dollars along with gents and ladies Rolex watches.
The 201 Reg BMW car and designer clothes were other premium value items that were lifted.
The spokesman added: "[Thursday's] operation is seen as a significant development in CAB targeting organised crime gangs involved in committing rural crimes across the country."
