BERHAMPUR: At least 25 pilgrims from Tamil Nadu were injured, four of them critically so, after a bus in which they were travelling overturned on NH-16 near Rambha in Ganjam district early on Sunday.
The bus carrying 50 passengers was on its way back to Chennai from the pilgrim town of Puri when the accident occurred. The driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a road widening work, police said.
The condition of the injured is stable, they added. While 21 were undergoing treatment at the subdivisional hospital (Chhatrapur), the four critical ones were shifted to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital.
