249 new Covid cases in Gurugram, posivity rate 6.2%

GURUGRAM: The city reported 249 new Covid cases on Thursday. On Wednsday, it had recorded 170 cases. The positivity rate saw a rise to 6.2% on Thursday from 4.7% on Wednesday.

The city at present has 688 active cases, out of which 16 patients are hospitalised. The health department conducted 4,013 tests on Thursday, while 3,613 samples were tested on Wednesday.

The city has logged 2,548 cases in the city so far this month, compared to 8,046 cases in June and 7,619 in May.

“The is no rise in cases. The spike is because of pending reports by a few private labs,” said Virender Yadav, CMO, Gurgaon.

Haryana, meanwhile, witnessed 511 new cases on Thursday. The state now has 1,796 active cases while the positivity rate is at 3.5%.
