24 Hours in A&E - when the next episode is on and where to watch

The new series of 24 Hours in A&E gives viewers a unique insight into the everyday dramas in the accident and emergency department in Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre. The latest series is the programme’s first to be filmed outside London.

Now in its 30th series, the long-running Channel 4 programme provides an unvarnished view of life at A&E. Cameras are left rolling for 24 hours at a time, with the events captured in the show being totally real and unscripted.

When is the next episode of 24 Hours in A&E?

The next episode of 24 Hours in A&E will be broadcast on Channel 4 on Tuesday, January 10, at 9pm. This is the second episode in the 30th series of the programme.

What happens in the next episode of 24 Hours in A&E?

In the second episode of the new series of 24 Hours in A&E, 74-year-old Mick is rushed into A&E suffering from sepsis. His wife, meanwhile, discusses what it’s like being a full-time carer for her husband.

Jillian, aged 61, is brought into Queen’s Medical Centre after a fall and talks about what it was like when her husband was diagnosed with stage four bowel cancer. Another patient, Keith, comes into hospital with a fast heart rate and his wife talks about the challenges she has faced raising four deaf children and being diagnosed with the 'deaf gene'.

Where to watch 24 Hours in A&E

The new series of 24 Hours in A&E airs on Channel 4 at 9pm on Tuesday nights. Episodes will also be available on Channel 4’s All 4 catch-up service after broadcast.
