It’s hard being a fashion enthusiast in this day and age. I know we harp on about the cozzie livs so damn much, but seriously, how are we meant to live, laugh, love under these conditions? While I love an online browse (and looking at websites I can’t afford), I always need to keep my eyes peeled for affordable Australian fashion brands.
Thankfully, we’ve got plenty of them. Our fashion industry is pretty darn cute, too — and the rest of the world is picking up on it, praising some of our beloved labels like DISSH and Tony Bianco.
If you want to support local but are on a bit of a budget, we’ve rounded up the best affordable Australian fashion brands for you to shop without sending yourself into ten million dollars of Afterpay debt.
Before we dive into it, remember that ‘affordable’ is open to interpretation, and can look different to each person. We’ve tried to keep this article as inclusive as possible, with varying price points that are generally in the affordable range. Remember to shop consciously rather than overconsuming due to a lower price tag.
Now the formalities are over, let’s have some fun!

Aere
Aere is an exclusive brand on The Iconic, best known for its elevated basics and everyday staples. Serving mostly neutrals with some colourful pieces sprinkled here and there, you can always rely on AERE to come through with the goods, no matter the season. While there are some more expensive pieces (e.g. real leather jackets), most of their range is super affordable, with pants around the $120 mark and tops ranging from $60 to a little over one hundred dollars.
Size range: 6 to 18
Price range: $10 to $550

Atmos & Here
Atmos & Here is another The Iconic exclusive brand that sure knows how to do a good tailored silhouette. It’s a go-to for affordable workwear, and their pieces are regularly discounted as part of The Iconic’s weekly sales, too. They lean into a seasonal colour palette, so pieces across the range are all super cohesive.
Size range: 5 to 18
Price range: $34.99 to $189.99

Afends
Sustainability and quality are at the helm of Afends, a Byron Bay brand founded in 2006. In womenswear, they’re known for their boho-leaning aesthetic and gorg plaid prints. As for menswear, they lean into the skater and surfer vibes, with graphic tees and baggy jeans galore.
Size range: XS to XL
Price range: $19.99 to $199.99

Kookai
While there are definitely pieces in Kookai’s collection that are more of the mid-range price category, there’s no denying this brand’s pieces are crafted to last (hence the cost per wear is down to the cent). Their basic tops range from $60 to $80, and they’re made from viscose and elastane blends that are super thick, soft and comfy. Hey, we went nuts for the strapless tops and bralettes back in 2015 for a reason…
Size range: 6 to 12
Price range: $18 to $460

The Fated
The Fated covers all bases, but sure knows its way around a good pair of jeans and a cosy knitted jumper. I practically live in my turtleneck knit from this brand come winter time.
Size range: 6 to 18
Price range: $15 to $200

Bec + Bridge
Okay, Bec + Bridge may not be the most affordable Australian fashion brand if we’re talking new season pieces, but they know how to host a good sale. Their sale section is always stacked with gorgeous eventwear at even more gorgeous prices — a much more accessible way to enjoy the brand.
Size range: 4 to 20
Price range: $30 to $600

Vrg Grl
Vrg Grl is one of the most underrated affordable Australian fashion brands, imo. Every season, they come out with stunning, colourful pieces that feel both playful and effortlessly cool. Whether you’re after a holiday fit or just want to brighten up your everyday wardrobe, Vrg Grl is that girl.
Size range: XXS to XXL

Fayt the Label
Fayt is our queen Brittney Saunders’ clothing label. With a focus on inclusivity and affordability, Fayt’s collections are filled with wardrobe staples, comfy basics and loungewear sets.
Size range: 6 to 26
Price range: $26.40 to $149

Rolla’s
While $169 for a pair of jeans may not seem affordable at first glance, Rolla’s is here to prove otherwise. You don’t need a million pairs of jeans: one blue and one black should do the trick. Made with organic cotton, these jeans are built to last. Hey, I’ve had mine for a good four years now and they’ve still got plenty of life in them.
Size range: 5 to 18
Price range: $26.99 to $299.95

Donna’s Daughter Co
Melbourne-based Donna’s Daughter Co is a cutesy mother-daughter business that pulls out all the stops when it comes to unique fashion. Asymmetrical necklines, layered garments and on-trend prints are what we’ve come to expect from each drop, and we’re obsessed with every single one.

Assembly Label
This unisex clothing brand is all about nailing the minimalist vibes. One scroll of Assembly Label’s site and you’ll find rich, solid hues, structured denim, and cosy knits. Honestly, you can never go wrong with a boxy-fit tee from these guys.
Size range: 4 to 16
Price range: $30 to $600

Witchery
Witchery is an Aussie classic. Their range spans affordable basics to more high end pieces — like leather jackets — but there’s something for every budget. Pro tip: make the most of the sale section, there’s always hidden gems in there.
Size range: 4 to 18
Price range: $9.95 to $699

Nude Lucy
Nude Lucy is the queen on linen. Don’t get me wrong, that’s not all they’re good at. In fact, they drop timeless seasonal designs like it’s second-nature. From everyday workwear staples to stunning eventwear, this brand truly can do it all (while keeping it at an affordable price point).
Size range: XXS to XXL
Price range: $15 to $280

Country Road
Country Road filters in and out of the affordable Australian fashion brands price range. Spanning womenswear, menswear, childrenswear and homewares, their most affordable women’s and men’s pieces typically fall under basics like t-shirts, but you can nab some pretty great sales, too. Regardless, the pieces are made using quality materials, so even though you might be investing a few more dollars, it’ll last you.
Size range: 4 to 16
Price range: $4.95 to $449

DISSH
DISSH is another brand that can lean towards the more expensive side of the scale, but if you pop the ‘sort by’ filter on ‘price: low to high’, you’re guaranteed to find some treasures. Their sale section also makes the brand’s effortless linen and tailored silhouettes more accessible — and the pieces are just as gorg as the new arrivals.
Size range: 4 to 16
Price range: $14 to $549.99

Dazie
The Iconic’s list of exclusive affordable Australian fashion brands keeps on growing with Dazie. This brand caters to just about any occasion, from resortwear to party fits. They’ve got your look for work the next day, too.

Boody
If you want basics, you go to Boody. Consciously crafted from organic bamboo viscose, Boody’s underwear and loungewear is soft, cosy and breathable. Our personal favourite are the unisex Bamboo CloudKnit Sweats, which aren’t only the perfect trackies for bed-rotting, they’re also cute enough that you won’t wanna die when you bump into your mum’s best friend at the supermarket.
Size range: XS to 4XL
Price range: $7.98 to $119.95

All Fenix
All Fenix is for the Pilates princesses who aren’t ready to give up their flares and zip jackets once they leave the studio. And when their activewear is as cute as what All Fenix has on offer, who can blame them? They’ve recently dropped a Pilates Club Tracksuit collection that’s perfect for winter — think rich reds, warm browns and all the snuggliness you could possibly want.
Size range: XXS to 4XL

Glassons
Glassons is a cult-favourite for fashionable Aussies and Kiwis who have eyes bigger than their bank account. Lioness
You know when you’re scrolling on Pinterest and spot an outfit so cool, it makes you stop in your tracks? Odds are the culprit is wearing something from Lioness. This brand repeatedly catches the eye of influencers like Jacquie Alexander, Saskia Teje, Isabelle and Olivia Mathers thanks to its effortlessly cool aesthetic. Striped tees, pleated mini skorts and oversized wool coats are some of the pieces you’ll find when trawling the site that match your social media feed.

Petal + Pup
Petal + Pup is one of the most underrated Australian fashion brands, in my humble opinion. The site’s pretty big, so it’s best to go in with an idea of what you’re shopping for, so you don’t check out with more than what you need. They also stock other iconic Australian brands like Rolla’s, SNDYS and Runaway The Label.
Size range: XS to XL
Price range: $10.95 to $179
