BHOPAL: A total of 23 new Covid-19 cases were reported in the state on Tuesday. With these 23 new cases reported on Tuesday, the tally of positive cases reported so far in the state reached 7,93,532.
As per the health bulletin released by the directorate of health, there were a total of 187 active cases in the state on December 21.
Maximum cases were reported from Bhopal as 10 people tested positive, followed by 9 new cases from Indore and 1 case each from Jabalpur, Rajgarh, Rewa and Sagar districts. And on Tuesday positivity rate of 0.04% was reported.
On December 21, 53,638 samples were tested and of it 23 were found positive, thus on an average 1 person, out of every around 2,400 who were tested, was found to be positive. A total of 19 people recovered from the disease on December 21. With these people recovering the number of people who have recovered so far from the disease reached 7,82,815.
Apart from it, no death was reported in the state on Tuesday and the death toll due to Covid remained 10,530.
