Gold prices increased significantly today (Wednesday, August 5, 2026), with leading jewellery brands increasing their 22-karat gold rates. Here's a look at the latest 22K gold prices across major jewellery brands such as Tanishq, Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Joyalukkas and Kalyan Jewellers.

Gold Outlook
Prithviraj Kothari, managing director at RiddiSiddhi Bullions Ltd., president of IBJA says, "Gold and Silver prices climbed on reports of a possible deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, easing inflation concerns and reducing near-term Fed rate-hike expectations. Qatar cited progress in U.S.-Iran mediation, though Tehran denied Trump's claim that talks were underway. New York Fed's John Williams said inflation is gradually easing but reaffirmed readiness to hike rates if pressures persist; markets await ADP's July payrolls data for further cues. Technically, if Gold sustains above $4200 (Rs 1,46,000), it may fuel a rally toward $4,500 (Rs 1,55,000). While for Silver, a decisive push above $63 (Rs 2,30,000) could drive prices toward $70–71 (Rs 2,50,000–2,55,000).

22k gold rate at Tanishq today
As of August 5, 2026, Tanishq's price for 22k gold jewellery is Rs 13,405 per gram across New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram, Coimbatore and Bengaluru. On August 4, 2026, the same variety of gold was priced at Rs 13,245 per gram.
22k gold price at Malabar Gold & Diamonds
Malabar Gold & Diamonds Jewellers' 22k gold jewellery price is Rs 13,360 per gram across New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram, Coimbatore and Bengaluru. On August 4, 2026, the 22k gold rate at the same brand was Rs 13,200 per gram.
