A 22 Y.O. skier has died following a crash at Thredbo resort in the NSW Snowy Mountains.
Emergency crews were called to the scene shortly after midday on Tuesday after reports of a collision on the slopes, Sydney Morning Herald reports.
Thredbo Ski Patrol, along with a doctor from the Thredbo Medical Centre, responded quickly to the incident, but the 22-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Thredbo is deeply saddened by the tragic passing of a skier at Thredbo Alpine Resort on September 2,” a statement from the resort said.
“The Thredbo community extends its heartfelt condolences to family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.”
Police from the Monaro District will prepare a report for the coroner.
The tragedy follows another recent incident in the Snowy Mountains, where 22-year-old US university student Drew Youngquist was killed in a snowboarding accident at a Perisher terrain park last month.
At about 2.30pm on Tuesday August 12, the American student sadly lost his life after striking a padded pole on the ski fields near Jindabyne, roughly five and a half hours south of Sydney.
Despite urgent assistance from ski rescue teams and NSW Ambulance, he could not be revived.

According to The Daily Telegraph, Mr Youngquist was an experienced skier who had been in Australia for just three months. His family in the United States was notified of the tragedy within hours.
Earlier this year, Mr Youngquist shared on LinkedIn how thrilled he was to join Jindabyne-based firm Action Learning Initiatives.
The company’s director, Nathan Brown, said the team was deeply saddened by his passing.
“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Drew yesterday. He was a much-loved member of our team at ALI,” Mr Brown said.
“He was a warm and loving young man full of energy and passion for the outdoors. We will miss him, and our thoughts are with his family in Utah during this tragic time.”
